I believe there are some amazing women in Canadian history that most Canadians know nothing about. So I decided to try and change the situation by writing a book and developing a website which would serve as a guide to the topic of women in Canadian history.

Here's what I'm trying to do:

• Develop a comprehensive site which will be the best website on the Internet on the topic of women in Canadian history
• Create greater interest among Canadians about the topic of women in Canadian history
• Encourage more reading of books and viewing of films and television programs about notable Canadian women
• Assist Canadian authors and publishers (particularly the small presses) in promoting their books about women in Canadian history
• Encourge wider celebration and a greater profile of Women's History Month in Canada in October
• Encourage greater commemoration of the role of women in Canadian history through existing opportunities for recognition
• Facilitate and encourage more classroom study of the role of women in Canadian history
• Facilitate and encourage greater media coverage of the role of women in Canadian history
• Promote new products and events associated with celebrating women in Canadian history
• Assist Canadian businesses (especially small businesses) in selling tasteful, high-quality products that relate to women in Canadian history
• Create such a great site that I will evenutally manage to support it through some advertising and affiliate arrangements
